Oregon Music Giving Organization
Our Story
The Oregon Music Giving Organization (OMGO) is non-profit dedicated to enhancing the musical landscape in Oregon. By fostering a culture of giving and support, we aim to bridge the gap between the musical talents and the resources required to nurture them. We believe that music is an irreplicable art form that betters people as individuals and brings us together as a whole. We really appreciate your interest in our efforts and hope to hear from you soon!

David Franzen
I am an Oregon-born guitarist with a long history
of performing and teaching.
As I age, in recent years I have focused more on teaching. I really enjoy passing on the knowledge I have gained over the years to deepen a student's love for music and the guitar.
I also enjoy instrument repair and have made a few guitars over the years.
When I heard of the non-profit organization (Oregon music giving organization) spear-headed by Ocean Punsalan, Mattias Balogh, and Mira Garcia, geared toward helping underprivileged youth receive quality instruments to learn to play, that the would otherwise not be able afford them, I really wanted to be involved somehow in some small way.
I enjoy working on instruments that need a little TLC to be in optimal playing condition for the lucky young musician to receive it. My first small job was a Yamaha classical guitar that needed an action adjustment. Come to find out this guitar is quite a fine instrument and anyone would be lucky to have it.
